"Cette formule est la traduction de la devise officielle de Charles IX, roi de Suède (...). Ce roi appartenait à une dynastie de monarques suédois qui, de 1560 à 1697, ont employé le nom divin en caractères hébreux ou latins sur des pièces de monnaie, sur des médailles ou dans leur devise. Charles IX a également institué l'Ordre royal de Jéhovah. Le jour de son sacre en 1607, il portait un collier appelé la chaîne de Jéhovah.(...).
Il existe de nombreuses preuves que les pièces de monnaie, les médailles, les bâtiments publics et les églises arboraient souvent le nom Jéhovah dans diverses régions d'Europe au cours des XVIème et XVIIème siècles."
